EDITOR'S LETTER:

It’s a special time of year in the UK. Where I live in North Somerset, roadside verges are covered in snowdrifts of wild garlic and in the woods near my house, bluebells cover the bright spots where the sun reaches the earth. It’s a time of transformation when we get to look at things with new eyes. This, to me, is a slower version of what happens when we travel. We look on the world with curiosity and open our hearts to new experiences that ultimately leave us transformed.

This issue is brimming with travel inspiration to help plan your own season of change. Rowena Marella-Daw spent time in Botswana’s Okavango Delta visiting three off-grid Wilderness camps where conservation and hospitality go hand in hand, offering a rare and insightful experience for visitors. Meanwhile, Matt Cassidy was roaming the storied streets of Madrid, delving down the rabbit hole of history for a crash course on Flamenco, art and architecture; all of which were influenced by cultural transitions that occurred over the course of a thousand Springs.

As for me, I’m looking forward to the 31st edition of Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, where the finest travel brands from the region and beyond come together to shape the future of hospitality from May 6-9. In the meantime, I encourage you to take a breath, step outside and find some beauty in the world, wherever you find yourself this month.
