In order to target affluent globetrotters, Burberry has launched a new range of bespoke, tailored suits for men who travel.
The Travel Tailoring range has been devised by the British design giant as “a new type of tailoring,” that will pay particular attention to reducing the creases and crumples that come with a busy international schedule.
In order to achieve a distress-free look, the new suits will use a combination of lightweight, flexible fabrics and modern canvassing. Burberry are even adopting an innovative Italian memory fabric, created from specially woven merino wool, to ensure creases are kept to a minimum.
“Travel Tailoring takes us back to the very thing we are founded on – design innovation and craftsmanship – and challenges the traditional construction of the classic British suit,” said Burberry chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey.
Travellers looking to invest in a tailored look will need to part with at least US $1,995 for a two-piece suit and US $1,295 for a blazer, which is available separately.
