With the West End’s finest theatres, museums, art galleries, parks and other cultural hotspots all within a stone’s throw, The Biltmore Mayfair stands as one of London’s most illustrious hotels thanks to its lavish suites, refined dining and impeccable service.
Starting from this month, the five-star hotel has partnered with distinguished British jewellery house, Boodles, to present The Boodles Tea at The Biltmore, a fine afternoon tea experience inspired by the jeweller’s exquisite pieces.

A match-made-in-heaven celebrating timeless refinement, the hotel’s skilled chefs have meticulously curated a mouth-watering menu, where pretty pastries are touched with a sprinkling of diamond finesse.

A showcase of pâtisserie elegance, cakes are the star of the show, with highlights including The Boodles Pink Apple & Vanilla Pearls. Paying homage to the brand’s Luna Pearl Rose Gold Pendant, smooth Opalys white chocolate ganache and slow-cooked apple compote create a refined contrast, much like the interplay of light and shadow on a perfectly polished pearl. The white, chocolate pearls atop the vanilla sable evoke the luxurious simplicity and timeless elegance of the piece. Next, The Flower Choux with Jivara milk chocolate ganache montée and blueberry gel, is a sweet ode to Boodles’ Flower Pink Diamond Platinum and Rose Gold Ring. The dish’s meringue adds a crisp, light texture that echoes the delicate precision with which Boodles’ artisans craft their jewels.

Echoing the sophistication synonymous with the jewellery house, the experience is ceremoniously presented as a chic gourmet encounter. Assorted decadent savouries including crab tartlets with crushed avocado, kaffir lime, yuzu gel and pickled mustard seeds is sure to delight. And of course, a round of warm scones is served with clotted cream and artisan jams.

Paired with a delicious array of teas, British sparkling wine, or bottomless bubbles, afternoon tea has never looked so good.
