It's a hat-trick for Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, as two restaurants from its five-star Shanghai outpost land a Michelin-star rating. The Italian eaterie, Il Ristorante - Niko Romito confirmed its one Michelin star, while fine-dining restaurant Chinese Bao Li Xuan earned its stripe at the Michelin Guide Shanghai 2020 presentation on September 19.

Having opened its doors just a year ago, Bao Li Xuan serves refined Cantonese cuisine and is headed up by Chef Fu from Hong Kong, who has previously helmed Michelin-star restaurants in Macau and Hong Kong.

Il Ristorante - Niko Romito is a unique collaboration between Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts and the renowned Italian chef patron of 3-Michelin star restaurant Reale, in Abruzzo, and is an exploration into simplicity, synthesis and a quest for the quintessence of flavour, whilst celebrating the vitality of a 'Made in Italy' ethos. If ever there was a time to stamp Shanghai in your passport, surely this is it.
