Elewana Collection has introduced a new brand, Explorer by Elewana, aimed at offering a simpler, contemporary take on safari travel. The launch is marked by the opening of the brand’s first property, Serengeti Explorer, which is located in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

Positioned near the Moru Kopjes in the park’s central region, Serengeti Explorer sits within a key area of the Great Migration route. The lodge comprises 22 rooms and suites, including family-friendly units and elevated tents. Interiors draw from a muted, modern palette with subtle East African design elements and each room features a private deck overlooking the plains.

The lodge is designed with an emphasis on flexibility and informal comfort. Guests can access indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a rooftop lounge, a pool and deck and a fitness centre. Experiences include game drives, bush dining, astronomy sessions and photographic safaris, as well as visits to local communities and cultural sites. There is also a dedicated programme for children.

Explorer by Elewana is positioned as a more accessible option within the Elewana portfolio, maintaining a focus on location and experience while offering a more contemporary and casual lodge atmosphere. Additional Explorer properties are planned across East Africa’s key safari destinations.
