Marking an exciting new Portuguese chapter for Hilton, the brand has announced three new city centre hotels in the heart of Lisbon. Set to open in consecutive years, Duo Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, Hampton by Hilton and Canopy by Hilton will begin welcoming guests in 2024, 2025 and 2026 respectively.

Managing Director of Development, Spain & Portugal, Hilton, Carlos Miró says the news is an exciting development for Hilton in the region. “Lisbon is an incredibly exciting destination, with ample opportunity for development, and our increased presence in the capital is key to our wider Portuguese growth. In recent years we’ve made great strides to diversify our portfolio, introducing new brands including Hilton Garden Inn, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Curio Collection by Hilton to the Portuguese market.
“Now, as we plan to further develop Curio Collection by Hilton in the Iberian Peninsula and introduce Portugal’s first Hampton by Hilton and Canopy by Hilton hotels, we’re excited to serve an even greater range of traveller needs.”

Coupling a traditional 19th-century and a secondary new development, Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton will feature 75 guest rooms, an all-day dining outlet, bar and a Portuguese pasteleria that will serve up local cakes and pastries. When day turns to night, dinner can be enjoyed in a gorgeous courtyard in the heart of the hotel. Located in the west downtown area of the city, the hotel is steps away from popular attractions including the famous Time Out Market Lisbon.
Moving on to the heart of the capital and making its brand debut in Portugal, Canopy by Hilton Lisbon Praça Sao Paulo will offer 84 spacious guest rooms, as well as a hotel hub, complete with a café and bar for guests to work, relax and socialise with friends.
And embracing a modern and sleek design, Hampton by Hilton will feature the 157-key property replete with a rooftop space and outdoor pool in the Baixa area of the city.
The three new venues will add to Hilton’s portfolio of nine Portuguese based hotels.
