Get ready to experience pristine white beaches, picture perfect sunsets, crystal blue waters and more as The St. Regis Red Sea Resort in Saudi Arabia has opened its doors to the world.

The first private island to open on the Red Sea, the hotel is located on Ummahat Island in the Al Wajh Lagoon and will see guests ferried from the Red Sea International Airport to the island in their own chartered boat or seaplane, where a collection of 90 beachfront and overwater villas, offering one-to-four-bedroom accommodation, each with a private pool and sundeck, await.

Imagined by architect Kengo Kuma and designed by Kristina Zanic Consultants, the villas are all about spacious and outdoor living with floor-to-ceiling windows serving up picturesque sea views, special sunrises and sunsets as well as flooding bedrooms and bathrooms with natural light. Interior designs echo the surrounding coral reefs, marine life and sand dunes with desert-inspired colours mixing with blue and green tones alongside custom furniture, marble, and woodwork. And what’s more, they are entirely powered by 100% renewable energy.
On the exterior, Dune Villas situated on the beach, reflect the shape of sweeping desert sand formations with Coral Villas perched overwater and connected by elevated walkways, taking the form of shells and offering direct access to the sea from each deck. But whatever villa you call home during your stay, you can expect to enjoy St. Regis’ signature butler service.

The food front sees guests choose between five venues, each offering alfresco beachside dining and using produce that is sourced from local farms and fishermen. Tempt yourself to modern Japanese cuisine at Gishiki 45 or tuck into tasting-style dishes and ocean views at Tilina. For somewhere more casual and Levantine bites, head to the airy Nesma or position yourself at one of the resort’s two swimming pools and allow The Beach Club to serve you light plates and lemonades from your plush cabana. And of course, no St. Regis resort would be complete without a St. Regis Bar and a Bloody Mary. Sip on a Coral Mary that is created with sumac, turmeric, and spirulina algae, served in custom designed glassware by Saudi fashion designer, Qormuz while you check out the mural portraying the folklore story of the nearby Blue Hole.

The St. Regis Spa features eight treatment rooms with gazebos and outdoor baths, private treatment cabins, and male and female grooming salons. Enjoy signature treatments including a 24kt Gold facial, a Gold and Caviar ritual as well as a series of yoga and meditation classes, all performed with AMRA products. Or get active at the gym, an outdoor lap pool and vitality pool, paddle, and tennis courts.

Feeling adventurous? Explore your surroundings that include the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef system. Spanning over 28,000 square kilometres, guests can snorkel, paddleboard, windsurf, and kayak. There are even opportunities to visit dormant volcanoes and desert dunes.
