THE EVENT
Since its creation, the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival (+377 98 06 36 36) has earned the reputation of bringing the biggest stars to its stage. Backed by more than 150 years of Monte-Carlo magic, the festival and its exceptional programming continue to put Monaco and the Salle des Étoiles at the top of the summer calendar. Every year, we honour this tradition, while also innovating and adapting to keep pace with the times and look to the future.
THIS YEAR
For 2016, we wanted to give pride of place to the greats of international pop music. This year, Rod Stewart, Julio Iglesias, Jamie Cullum and Tom Jones will perform on the greatest stage in the world. We will also be hosting an exceptional concert by one who is surely a legend, Charles Aznavour. There will also be plenty of rock with a concert by the Scorpions, and especially Les Insus, the greatest group in the history of French rock. New for the 2016 season, on the stage of the Opéra Monte-Carlo, will be the Broadway and West End production of the musical Sister Act.

AMBIANCE
In a summery ambiance, the audience shares a unique moment in an outstanding place with the greatest artists, enjoying a prestigious dinner-show. La Salle des Étoiles is a magical place where artists are close to the public, which creates a sensational feeling of harmony.
RUB SHOULDERS WITH
Among a very diverse and international public, we find our dear customers from the casino and our group’s hotels. Also, many people come from the French and Italian Riviera as well as the Middle East and Arab states.
AFTER DARK
The Salle des Étoiles not only offers concerts. Indeed for certain artists, customers have the privilege to have dinner in this legendary place. After the concert, the clientele may go to the restaurant La Trattoria (Sporting Monte-Carlo, Ave. Princesse Grace; +377 98 06 71 71) in case of concerts without dinner, or finally join the famous Jimmy’z night club (26 Ave. Princesse Grace; +377 98 06 70 68). All the casinos of Monte-Carlo as well as the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel welcome our dear customers after their unforgettable evening.

STAY
I always recommend any of the four hotels of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. For a convenient location nearby the Salle des Étoiles, the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort proposes a quite relaxed yet chic atmosphere. The Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel is also a few minutes from our concert hall, perfect for a more intimate, romantic stay. To stay in the heart of Monte-Carlo, the Hôtel Hermitage and the Hôtel de Paris are located by the Casino Square, and both offer authentic Monegasque elegance with a Belle Époque style.
DINE
Our chef Alain Cavanna is responsible for orchestrating the gastronomic experience across all the events held at the Salle des Étoiles, including the legendary Rose Ball and the Monaco Red Cross Ball. For him, it is all about striking a balance between the artistic aspect of the event and the culinary offerings and a different menu is prepared each evening to suit the programme.

WEAR
Indeed, the dress code is contemporary chic. A jacket is required for every concert and costume is necessary for galas.
MUST DO
Every year, there are three unique and long-waited nights. The first rendezvous on July 16th is the Fight Aids Monaco night. Extremely committed to humanitarian causes, H.S.H Princess Stephanie commits to share the fight with people living with AIDS. Stars 80 group will perform for that special occasion. On July 23rd the Monaco Red Cross brightens the Salle des Étoiles in presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Monaco Red Cross, H.S.H. Princess Charlene and H.R.H. Princess Caroline for the Monaco Red Cross Gala. The artist who will take centre stage at this year’s event will be Lana Del Rey. “La Nuit de l’Orient” is the third unmissable event offering concerts with the greatest artists in the Middle East. On August 5th, Ragheb Alama will perform for that special occasion.
