We all love a stylish bag to cram all our in-flight essentials in, and passengers jetting off to new destinations from Heathrow Airport can get their hands on some limited-edition totes this month thanks to a collaboration with the British Fashion Council (BFC).

Setting the stage for London Fashion Week that runs between February 16-20, the collection of designer bags was launched this week to celebrate the BFC’s NEWGEN initiative that supports the best emerging fashion design talent and aims to build global, high-end brands of the future.

Designed by some of the most exciting names in fashion including Ahluwalia, Giles Deacon, Roksanda, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Mary Katrantzou and Halpern, each bag features a unique print associated with one of the designers and will be available at experiential retail pop-ups and shops across Heathrow, including Harrods, Case, WHSmith and World Duty Free until stocks run out. And for those interested in eco-creds, every bag in the collection has been produced by Bags of Ethics, using sustainably sourced cotton, through an ethical supply chain.

But the commemorative range is not the only exciting news for passengers. Each person buying a tote bag will be entered into a draw to win backstage access to a London Fashion Week show in September, plus an overnight stay at the gorgeous Treehouse London hotel in Marylebone.

And for every bag purchased, a percentage will go to the BFC Foundation that provides opportunities to the UK fashion industry’s next generation.
