Forever advocates of celebrating the breathtaking beauty of the UAE, and simultaneously promoting the power one singular image can hold, Destinations of the World News has launched a competition to honour imagery that shines a visual light on the place we call home.

Running in collaboration with H.H.  Sheikha  Mariam  bint Khalifa bin  Saif  Al Nahyan - the founder of contemporary brand MKS Jewellery, which launched in 2013 - the Photographs of our Nation competition pays homage to both the UAE and the jewellery pieces Sheikha Mariam designs that are inspired by sentiment and storytelling, drawing on the heritage and landscapes of the Middle East.

Whether you’re a professional photographer or someone who just likes to click and dabble, the competition invites shutterbugs from the Middle East of all skill levels to submit nature- and travel-inspired content of the UAE, with a focus on showcasing the incredible beauty of the seven Emirates, from sand dunes to skyscrapers and everything in between.

Entries will be selected by Destinations of the World News’ Editor-in-Chief, Emily Baxter-Priest, and Sheikha Mariam, and the winners will have their photography featured in DOTW News, alongside an interview with Sheikha Mariam.

How to enter 

To take part in the competition, submit your beautiful photos of the UAE to contact@mksjewellery.com by December 20, 2020.

Please ensure your submitted image is a minimum of 300dpi and over 2mb.
