The newly refurbished and renamed Hilton Al Hamra Beach & Golf Resort features spa treatment rooms, two temperature-controlled pools and a 500-metre private beach.
Formerly known as Al Hamra Fort & Beach Resort, the hotel complex reopened last week with a mix of 181 villas and suites, 75 deluxe rooms and nine suites. The resort retains access to the adjacent 18-hole championship golf course and views of the Arabian Gulf and nearby Hajar Mountains.
"The striking fortress-style design and iconic status of the original hotel helped shape our conversion plans," said Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
"We have carefully maintained the distinctive character of the property and successfully combined those traditional qualities with the modern hallmark attributes of Hilton Worldwide's flagship brand. Hilton Al Hamra Beach & Golf Resort is now a world-class hotel and a welcome addition to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts global portfolio," he added.
The Al Hamra resort boasts eight eateries, which includes the Polynesia inspired Mai Tai bar and the late-night Club Malibu venue.
Hilton currently has six hotels in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which is 96 kilometres north of Dubai. The hotel chain has 18 offerings in the UAE overall.
