Capella Hotels and Resorts is set to make its debut in Taiwan with the opening of Capella Taipei next month. Located along the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, the hotel is designed by renowned interior architect André Fu, who drew inspiration from Taipei’s blend of urban energy and tranquil green spaces. His vision for Capella Taipei reflects a modern mansion that harmoniously integrates contemporary luxury with cultural nuances.

The hotel’s design features a serene courtyard entrance leading to intimate salons adorned with curated art pieces by local artisans. Guestrooms showcase hand-painted silk panels, a collaboration between British interior design studio De Gournay and André Fu Living, combining Art Deco elements with Zen garden aesthetics. Some accommodations offer private balconies or terraces with outdoor dipping pools.

Dining options at Capella Taipei include Ember 28, a Western restaurant with twin crystal chandeliers and rich burgundy decor; Patisserie Plume, offering views of Dunhua North Road in a sage green setting; Rong Ju, a Chinese restaurant featuring a dramatic eight-metre-high ceiling with terracotta tiles; and Mizue, a Japanese restaurant inspired by traditional ryokan architecture, highlighted by a ten-metre-long hinoki wood sushi counter.

The hotel’s wellness facilities are designed to evoke tranquility, with barrel-vaulted ceilings and treatment rooms featuring cross-vaulted designs. The pool terrace offers an urban oasis framed by a 38-metre bougainvillea hedge and auburn cabanas.
