One of the first few hotels ever built in Dubai, Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers reopened yesterday after a major nine month internal renovation project, involving a complete internal redesign and bathroom expansions for most guestrooms.
All rooms have been styled using a ‘warm palette’, according to operating firm Starwood, and are equipped with the brand’s all-white 'Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds'.
All of the hotel’s 268 guest rooms and suites have been redesigned at the hotel, which first opened in 1978. The resort was Starwood’s first hotel in the UAE and now boasts revamped facilities and a fully rebranded Italian restaurant.
Vivaldi by Alfredo Russo now has the Michelin-starred Italian chef at the helm, maintaining the hotels impressive veranda, with comprehensive views of Dubai’s Creek. The Italian fare is complemented by another returning signature eatery - the award-winning Indian restaruant Ashiana, designed by fellow Michelin star chef, Vineet Bhatia.
“With the renovation of Sheraton Dubai Creek we have embraced the modern interpretation of classic design for which the Sheraton brand is known for,” said Guido de Wilde, senior vice president and regional director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East.
In addition to such renovation projects, hotel operator Starwood has announced plans to open another 35 hotels over the next few years.
