I often advise guests to take an al fresco lunch at The Beach Bar & Grill, with incredible views of the Arabian Gulf and Palm Island Bay. Surrounded by lush gardens and just metres away from the beach, this is a place where palm trees sway with the sea breeze. The mood is informal on the shaded wooden terrace and, as the waves roll in, so do the delicious platters of freshly grilled seafood, steaks and light salads.

I would recommend unwinding before dinner with an authentic Moroccan Oriental Hammam treatment. The Health & Beauty Institute is an “oasis of retreat” from Dubai’s daily stresses.
