The striking, feminine beauty of Galactica Star, the latest creation from Dutch boat builder Heesen Yachts, wasn’t going to go unnoticed for long. Fresh from the shipyard in Oss in the Netherlands, the revolutionary 65-metre FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form) yacht has already attracted the attention of Beyoncé and husband Jay Z, who were spotted cruising around Italy on the high-speed vessel in early September.
With a glass-bottom swimming pool on the upper deck that allows light to pour through into the bar area below, a two-level beach club complete with hammam, sauna and fully equipped bar, and a sunbathing deck that transforms into a helipad at the touch of a button, it’s no wonder the all-aluminium yacht is attracting the attention of the trendy set. The six cabins sleep up to 12 guests, the forward garage features gull-wing doors for an extra touch of class, and with a top speed of 28.8 knots at half load, this will be one of the fastest superyachts on the water this year.
