Already famed for its Kids Club and Teen Lounge, it now looks as though Jumeirah Vittaveli is introducing something for the young-at-heart.
As part of an upgrade to its stunning overwater Ocean Villas, the property has added the ‘longest water slides in the Maldives’ to its list of accolades, allowing island escapees to plunge directly into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean directly from their rooms.

Dotting the azure waters of the South Malé atoll, all of the resorts freestanding Private Ocean Retreats and seven Infinity Pool Ocean Villas now include a 23-metre slide, running from the top deck to the gentle waters of the crystal-clear lagoon.

The resort is also opening its much-anticipated Private Ocean Retreats this month, featuring extended outdoor decks, overwater hammocks and a second bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Perched on stilts, these new accommodations offer the perfect vantage point for spotting black tip reef sharks and shoals of tropical fish – all from the privacy of your very own infinity pool.
For those in need of pampering, your spacious villa can be transformed into an exclusive treatment area, where you can enjoy everything from massage and beauty therapies to private yoga classes and personal training sessions.

Feeling hungry? If you’re planning a visit in Easter, be sure to visit the pop-up restaurant by Michelin-star chef Ollie Dabbous – known for his acclaimed London establishment, Hide – who will be bringing a taste of Britain to the island’s pristine shores.
