We're all familiar with the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" – even if we're not quite sure what's on the list. Six of the sites have been lost for centuries but the one surviving wonder, the Great Pyramid of Giza, remains one of the most iconic tourist destinations on the planet.
Since we haven't quite figured out time travel, the next best thing might be the New 7 Wonders of the World tour, which was announced in 2007 after approximately 100 million people voted for 21 finalists. The likes of Angkor Wat, Hagia Sofia and Moscow's Kremlin were in the running for more than seven years, taken from an initial list of 200 monuments.
This new 25-day itinerary from On The Go Tours will take you from Europe to South America to Jordan and almost every corner of the globe as you take in the world's most incredible sites. This is definitely one for archaeology and architecture lovers, who should already have this one on the bucket list.
The round-the-world trip begins in London where you can wave to the Queen at Buckingham Palace, see the crown jewels at the Tower of London and ride the London Eye, but if you prefer to start your adventure elsewhere, however, then the tour is flexible.
