1. ROCK ON WITH CROSSROADS MALDIVES

Summer is an exciting time for the little ones. No school for two whole months – life cannot get any better. For parents, the challenge is keeping little hands and minds busy until the first sounding of the school bell for the new term. Supporting mum and dad with the entertainment this August is Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. Part of luxury leisure destination, CROSSROADS Maldives, the property’s Summer Camp-Cation 4.0 programme sees children enjoy a diverse range of activities designed to unleash the young rock stars’ creative juices. Based around the themes of arts, crafts and sports, children from over the age of four-years-old can take part in coral painting, gardening and marine discovery.

While kids play hard, parents are invited to pause hard with indulgent spa treatments with ocean views, yoga classes and uninterrupted beach days. When day turns to night, retire to one of the 178 guest rooms showcasing beautiful Indian Ocean Vistas. Or go all out with the Rock Star Villa that comes complete with private boat docking, personalised butler service, a unique tuk-tuk bar and a private infinity pool. Book the Camp-Cation package and enjoy 50 per cent off airport transfers, with little ones staying and dining free-of-charge.

2. CHILD’S PLAY
Is there anything better than a UAE family staycation where all of the childrens’ needs are taken care of? Mum and Dad don’t think so and this summer, the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is ready to immerse little ones in a world of fun while parents enjoy some quality ‘me time’. Jam-packed with tailored activities to engage the minds of kids, the adventures begin upon check-in when each little guest receives a fluffy Waldorf Astoria bear and a special passport, to be stamped at each venue on the completion of a quest, earning a complimentary gift.
In the resort’s family accommodation, there are child-sized bathrobes and slippers as well as a range of toiletries created specifically for children, and colouring books to keep them busy until they drift off to sleep. Up next, is Coco’s Kids Club that offers a plethora of activities including re-enacting the feats of Paris 2024 athletes with the mini-Olympics, painting, arts and crafts and more. And when it’s time for a dip, check-out the 200-metre private beach where young adventurers can try sailing, kayaking and wakeboarding. Happy kids means happy parents.
3. A TIME FOR HEROES

It’s time to don your cape as the new Superhero Season takes to the stage at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Running until September 1, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and more will go to battle with the most wanted villains from the DC Universe. When the curtain falls, little ones (and adults) can then enjoy a meet-and-greet with Batman and Batgirl on the Gotham City Main Stage before enjoying a never-before-seen performance by Black Canary.

Fancy becoming a superhero? The Green Lantern’s Training programme invites guests to put on their power rings and learn the skills necessary to become heroes, under the guidance of Green Lantern himself. Expect plenty of fun challenges as the evil Yellow Lanterns strive to gain control of the Metropolis. However, never to be outdone, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes squad will pull on their favourite DC costumes and inspire kids with the Junior Justice Training Academy, where they complete puzzles, collect handprint cards and even get their favourite superhero mask painted on their face.
