Belmond has unveiled the Britannic Explorer, a luxury sleeper train that marks a new chapter in luxury rail travel across England and Wales. Launching July 2025, the pioneering locomotive will offer three-night journeys, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Cornwall, the Lake District and Wales, redefining the serenity of slow travel. Britannic Explorer features 18 elegantly designed cabins, including three Grand Suites, created by London-based design studio, Albion Nord. Inspired by Britain’s natural beauty, the train seamlessly blends heritage motifs with modern sophistication.

Amenities include a wellness suite, a botanically inspired Bar in the Observation Car and fine dining curated by Michelin-starred Chef Simon Rogan, celebrating Britain’s regional specialities with seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Off-train excursions provide immersive experiences such as wild swimming in the Lake District, private tours of Hauser & Wirth Somerset and guided hikes through Wales. Guests can combine routes for extended adventures, with exclusive stops at destinations like Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall. Bookings start at £11,000 (US$14,000) per double cabin, including excursions, gourmet dining and drinks.
