There’s a new Parisian-inspired restaurant in town, as Frou Frou Dubai opens at The Lana Promenade, by Dorchester Collection. Harking back to the golden days of Paris’ Belle Epoque, the restaurant invites guests into a space full of chic, tropical interiors, French cuisine and playful Parisian spirit. Taking its name from the ruffling and flouncing of the famed ‘Can-can’ dresses, Frou Frou Dubai’s interiors pay homage to the City of Light while sprinkling Middle Eastern influences throughout, with soft, earthy and terracotta hues offset by pops of greenery and gold.
Boasting three main areas — a large dining room with an open kitchen, an open-air terrace showcasing exquisite views of the Business Bay Canal and an intimate foyer for cocktails and bites — diners can delve into les entrées of salade Niçoise, tartare de veau, onion soup with Gruyère cheese and escargots de Bourgogne. Main courses spotlight grilled langoustines, whole red mullet and truffle pasta, before dessert rounds off un grand repas français with crème brûlée à la lassion and soufflé à la banane. Violà!
