A new Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill has opened at Sunway Resort in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking the celebrity chef’s inaugural restaurant in Malaysia, as well as his first Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill outside of the UK. The new eaterie also heralds the culmination of a once-in- a-generation transformation for the urban resort, following a US $60 million refurb that beckons a new era of luxury across its integrated complex.

The restaurant blends Ramsay’s British heritage with the all-out grace and grandeur of Sunway Resort, with a series of elegant and intimate spaces dotted throughout, including a trio of private dining rooms, with illustrious names 8 Mayfair, 10 Soho and 12 Chelsea all eluding to Ramsay’s London hometown. There’s also a glamorous dining room with semi-private seating booths and a glittering cocktail bar with floor-to-ceiling windows. The interiors are decadent in rich reds and forest greens, accentuated by polished walnut hardwood flooring, 24-carat gold leaf hand-placed ceiling. Monochrome portraits of British style icons by celebrated photographers Terry O’Neill and Arthur Steel decorate the walls, meaning you can cosy up and enjoy dinner with The Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, the original 007 Sir Sean Connery, or supermodels Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy.
On the menu, forks will fight over Ramsay’s classic dishes of Beef Wellington, Spiced Beef Tartare With Egg Yolk Confit and his Arnold Bennett Twice-Baked Soufflé with Mornay Sauce, while cocktails are fuelled by Malaysian- inspired flavours letting you wind down long into the night.
