The first Ukrainian dine-restaurant opens this month at The Pointe, bringing the country’s culinary heritage to the Emirates for the first time.

YOY, which means ‘wow’ in Ukrainian is a contemporary yet cosy space, decked in pine and white- washed woods, with long picnic-style tables encouraging shared plates and conversation.

The menu features traditional dishes given a modern twist using fire-cooking techniques, with baked pumpkin, rabbit sicheniki, and fried fish served to live music by modern Ukrainian folk singers and musicians.
