HARRY WINSTON’S HEART OF THE OCEAN DIAMOND
Price: US $20 million
As one of the more recognisable necklaces on our list, Harry Winston’s Heart of the Ocean Diamond was inspired by historic accounts of a blue sapphire diamond necklace appearing on board The Titanic, a replica of which was worn by Kate Winslet in the 1997 blockbuster film.
Unlike the movie replica, which was created using blue cubic zirconium and valued at US $10,000, Winston’s version boasts a 15-carat blue diamond, was worn by Gloria Stuart at the 1998 Academy Awards and bears a US $20 million price tag.

DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE
Price: US $4.8 million
Unlike some of the complex, elaborately designed necklaces that are often seen at auction, the Diamond Pendant Necklace is very much back to basics. Appearing at a Christie’s sale in 2001, the jewel was valued at close to US $5 million thanks to its unusually large, 74.49-carat diamond. The pear-shaped goliath resembles a gemstone sold by Sotheby’s for US $30.6 million earlier this week and is sure to be a welcome addition to any high-flyers collection.

Retailing at a staggering US $4 million, the six-string neckpiece is made up of tens of pear, cushion and teardrop shaped clear diamonds in a platinum setting, weighing in at an incredible 140-carats.
