Pool day experiences are something of an institution in the UAE. With sunshine beaming down from above almost every day of the year, relaxing poolside and dipping your feet is a favoured activity of many UAE residents. But one pool day that has been off limits to most of us is Cloud 22 at Atlantis The Royal – that is until now.

Yes, the rooftop, infinity pool that sits 96 metres in the air and spans 90 metres in length will begin welcoming external guests for a pool day from next Monday (December 4) onwards. That means no booking in for the night at the hotel if you are just looking to soak up the sun and Palm Jumeirah views from Cloud 22.

Featuring 60 sun loungers and 15 floating beds which are first come, first serve, guests can also settle into one of 11 private cabanas or opt for the two-storey VVIP cabana. Still not enough? Check-out the Duplex Cabana that comes with two lounge rooms, a private bathroom, a private pool, a suspended plunge pool and AC for whenever those Dubai days get very hot once again.

But what would a pool day be without any bites or cool drinks? Pool goers can help themselves to the likes of locally sourced smoked salmon and cream cheese caviar flatbread, Gillardeau oysters, beef wagyu sliders and strawberry cheesecake accompanied by signature cocktails, The Cloud and Sunset Bliss.

Open from 10am to 8pm, seven-days-a-week, prices for Cloud 22 start from AED 450 per person.
