California’s Palm Springs has been a desirable address for Hollywood celebs for decades, but “Leo” is the latest to join the ranks with his six-bedroom house in the dustbowl resort.
Reported to have paid US $5.1 million for the 1.34-acre residence, the purchase comes soon after The Wolf of Wall Street Star pledged to take a sabbatical from acting.
The building was erected by influential architect Donald Wexler, who was responsible for one of the largest concentrations of mid-century modern architecture in the US.

Palm Springs first became popular among Hollywood stars after studio bosses introduced a two-hour rule, stipulating that contracted actors had to stay within two hours of LA's film lots. The spot was also popular with musicians, with the likes of Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra all setting up residence at one point in time.
The city may not be a haven of peace all year round, however, with the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Coachella Music Festival taking place every year. At least being 100 miles outside of LA allows celebs such as DiCaprio the opportunity to separate work and play.
