Qiddiya City’s position as the entertainment capital of Saudi Arabia moves a step closer with the announcement of the lunch of The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium.
Located at the top of the 200-metre high Tuwaiq Cliff, the multi-use venue that will hold up to 45,000 fans, is expected to revolutionise the traditional stadium experience thanks to an immersive design and unique technological features that puts spectators at the centre of the show.

Designed by global architectural firm Populous, the stadium will feature a combined retractable roof, pitch and LED wall that will enable the venue to transform from a concert setting to a football pitch in a matter of minutes, and will be the future home ground of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr and Neymar’s Al-Hilal’s football clubs, as well as proposed stadium for the 2034 FIFA World Cup bid.
But football and music won’t be the only events to take centre stage; the biggest boxing bouts, esports contests, and theatre performances will live at the stadium too, alongside instant access to live data and information including the use of state-of-the-art holographic technology, enabling virtual interactions with celebrities and stars. You can even catch the latest films, live events and laser shows.

And when you need some respite from all the entertainment, you can visit the 50,000 square metres of shopping, dining, entertainment spaces and hotels located directly beside the stadium.
While no confirmed date has been offered for the opening of the stadium, it is expected to welcome visitors by 2030 in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s programme to attract more tourists and expats to the country.

The unveiling of the stadium follows the launch of Qiddiya City’s world-first multi-use Gaming and Esports District.
