Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas has completed a Dhs550.88 million (US$150 million) resort-wide transformation, which encompasses updates to the casino, guestrooms, restaurants and lounges. At The Royal, a 1,201-room hotel, all guestrooms have been remodelled with custom décor evoking the serenity of Bahamian beaches. The new look features carpets reminiscent of the ocean and sculptural art pieces inspired by the region’s archipelago. At the 85-table, 700-game casino, the ceilings, previously covered by canopies, have now been opened to offer a spacious atmosphere with a clear view of the entire space. The murals throughout the casino have been restored, while light features and carpeting have also been upgraded. The recently opened Bar Sol is inspired by the late Sol Kerzner’s passion for Bahamian artists, music and entertainment. The centrepiece of Bar Sol is a restored Chihuly chandelier, complemented by the venue’s nightly live music performances. The Atlantis Casino is also home to several of the resort’s dining offerings, including Nobu and new restaurant, Silan by Chef Alon Shaya. The newest dining addition at The Cove, is Paranza by Michelin-starred Chef Michael White alongside an array of new restaurants, shops and a Paradise Links mini-golf course.
