In October last year Lotus introduced its new hyper SUV Models and pricing in the UK. Three models were announced, the Eletre, Eletre S and Eletre R. The Eletre R comes with the flagship 675 kW / 905 hp dual-speed system and a maximum range of 490 km (304 miles). This makes the Eletre R the world’s fastest dual motor pure electric SUV. The Lotus Eletre is labelled as a pure electric performance SUV. This is the first electric SUV produced by Lotus. With 75 years of car design under its belt, the Eletre is inspired by Lotus’ Emira sports car, and the excellent aerodynamics of the all electric Evija hypercar.
Recently, customers that have ordered an Eletre were give the opportunity to drive one at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, in conjunction with the Festival of Speed. Matt Windle, Group VP and Managing Director, Lotus Cars, says: “The launch of the Eletre is the natural next step for Lotus. Two-seater sports cars are not for everyone, and we want to offer a Lotus for every stage of your life. The Eletre is the start of that.” Deliveries of the new Eletre are expected to commence in the coming months.
